About

Bella SPCA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Oklahoma City created to assist low-income, elderly or terminally ill pet owners with the cost of veterinary care when it cannot be afforded. Every year thousands of animals are euthanized or sent home to die because the people who love them cannot financially absorb the cost of veterinary care. Stray and abandoned animals have even fewer options when brought into a clinic or veterinary office with no owner to pay for their care.
At Bella, we believe every animal deserves to receive the best possible care regardless of the owner’s ability to pay. When an owner brings an animal into a clinic for care and cannot afford the cost, the attending veterinarian can contact Bella for assistance. If assistance is given, the owner must agree to volunteer 8 hours of their time at either Bella SPCA or their local shelter. Stray or abandoned animals are cared for with no stipulation attached. We also require that every animal sponsored by us be spayed/neutered and microchipped. Microchipping is an inexpensive way to reunite lost pets with the owners who are responsible for them.

About

Free To Live is a non-profit sanctuary for stray, abandoned and mistreated dogs and cats. It is the largest no-kill sanctuary in Oklahoma. We are a small group of animal lovers who have been carrying on the mission of founders, Bill and Pat Larson, for the last three decades.
We meet each dog or cat where they are socially and/or medically, providing the treatment they need to live their fullest lives. This focused care can sometimes take months to years depending on the level of need.
We rescue stray, abused and abandoned dogs and cats and give them care and sanctuary until they are placed in forever homes. Those who are not adopted due to severe medical and/or temperament needs live their life with companionship, care and love from our team of devoted volunteers and staff. Through these life commitments to animals in need we teach humane animal care to our community, state and beyond.
We believe in a place where our dogs and cats can be just who they are – regardless of promise of adoption – which is why we commit to each of them for life. Even if they go into a home for just one day or ten years and then are returned, we keep them safe and healthy throughout the remainder of their lives.

About

Sooner Golden Retriever Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax exempt, all-volunteer organization established for the purposes of placing homeless Golden Retrievers in good homes and educating the public about Golden Retrievers and their needs. We think every Golden Retriever deserves the opportunity to have a safe home with a loving family. That’s why we’re here.
SGRR was formed in 1986 by members of the local Golden Retriever Club and other interested persons. The Rescue was founded to address an increasing problem of homeless Golden Retrievers in the central Oklahoma area. Most of the original Rescue members had experienced the joys and frustrations of finding homes for stray dogs. This, combined with their affection and admiration for Golden Retrievers, made the progression from the idea of a rescue group to the reality of SGRR and easy one.
Services rendered by the group include providing medical care, temperament evaluation, temporary foster homes, transportation of Goldens, checking local animal shelters, assisting in finding lost Goldens, placing Goldens in qualified adoptive homes, and public relations. SGRR has rescued and rehomed nearly 3000 Goldens since 1986.
Our rescue and adoption activities help Golden Retrievers throughout the state of Oklahoma. We do not adopt outside the state of Oklahoma except in some nearby border areas where we have established an active volunteer base.

About

The City of Moore’s Animal Welfare’s mission is to protect the City of Moore and their pets. You can adopt and look for lost pets at the Moore Animal Shelter.
We take in homeless, abandoned, injured or sick animals in need, including cats, dogs, rabbits, other small mammals, reptiles, birds, farm animals, and wildlife within the city limits of Moore.
We also respond to reports of animal cruelty, injured animals, loose dogs, animals that are dangerous or a nuisance and enforce Moore’s animal ordinances.
It is recommended that residents do not detain or collect any stray but to call animal control with details about the animal’s location. We realize that may not always be possible and currently, our staff is available to run on calls of reported stray animals; both at large and detained during open hours of operation. To report a stray animal during open hours of operation, call 405-793-5190. During non-operating hours, residents who elect to detain an animal must be willing to do so until the shelter re-opens. Any emergency situation should be reported by calling 911.

About

Our mission is to ensure public safety by promoting responsible pet ownership, reuniting lost pets with their families, encouraging shelter pet adoptions and to advocate safe harbor through rescues for those pets abandoned and forgotten.
Because we would like to personally introduce you to the animals that may interest you, we ask that you call in advance to schedule an appointment. Our shelter does not have open viewing of the animals so there is no ‘window shopping’. We ask that you check our Facebook page for animals that are available for adoption. Once your appointment is made, you can look forward to a unique opportunity meeting the animal that might just steal your heart and become the newest addition to your family!

About

Pet Angels Rescue rescues animals primarily from rural kill shelters, abandonment, hoarding cases, puppy mills, overcrowded shelters, and from cases of abuse and neglect. We work with rural shelters across the state to reduce the number of dogs and cats being euthanized and transport them to our no-kill rescue to be adopted.
Pet Angels Rescue saves an average of 400 animals each year. For 2018, we are on target to save over 700 animals with the opening of our new adoption center and programs.
Every animal entering our rescue is given immediate, loving care. All get updated vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered and micro-chipped. All animals receive a medical and behavioral evaluation and when necessary, veterinary and medical care. Adoptable animals are found loving and devoted homes.

About

The mission of Small Paws® Rescue Inc., a charitable, Federal not-for-profit organization, is to rescue and supply non-aggressive Bichons, nationwide, with love, shelter, food, human companionship, and medical care, until permanent placement is secured into a pre-screened loving home, as our resources allow.
We take responsibility for each Bichon rescued and placed through Small Paws® Rescue Inc. should they ever need to return to Small Paws during their lifetime.
Educating and informing the public about the commercial dog industry in America and about responsible pet ownership is also very important to us, as well as reviving the spirit of volunteerism across our country.
Small Paws® Rescue Inc. is composed of approximately 6000 people in 27 countries, and over eight hundred volunteers across America. Our volunteers are willing to foster, transport, or otherwise assist in this massive rescue effort. We are supported entirely by donations and fund raisers.
Our vision: We hope to see a day when there is no longer a market for puppies sold in the pet shops of America. Then and only then, will the suffering endured by thousands of companion animals in the puppy mills of America, cease.
Our Future Goal: Our goal is to rescue as many Bichons in emergency situations as our organization is safely able to manage.
