About
Kaaawa K9 Rescue is a charitable 501(c)3 non-profit rescue organization founded in 2015 in Kaaawa, Oahu. We specialize in rescuing dogs who are severely abused, neglected, and abandoned, focusing our efforts on the Windward side of the island. We work tirelessly every day, to rehabilitate and find loving homes for the animals we take under our care.
Kaaawa K9 responds to the abuse and neglect distress calls daily and assist in all phases of the rescue regardless of breed. As the only NO KILL shelter on the Windward side, we are convinced that every dog deserves a chance to live a full, happy life, no matter how neglected, abused, or hurt it is – no animal in dire need of rescue is turned away by our organization.
Overbreeding and unaffordable vet care on the island has been the underlying cause of rising numbers of abandoned animals on the island.
Kaaawa K9 Rescue pioneered as a leader in creating multiple low-income community and hunter community programs that advocate responsible animal ownership and spay/neutering of animals. We partnered with numerous Veterinary clinics in the effort to provide affordable vet care to a large number of communities from Kailua to the North Shore.
We believe that with proper mentoring, education, and affordable medical care, the acute problem of thousands of abused and abandoned animals on the island can be solved.

About
At Aloha Ilio, we strive to ensure every dog is matched up with an owner that is serious about the commitment adopting a dog entails, while at the same time ensuring that both parties are happy to become a family together. Above even our desire to rescue dogs is ensuring that those already under our care have the best quality of life possible. We strive to keep our facilities impeccably clean, our dogs have the opportunity to exercise, and our dogs receive the medical care and one-on-one attention they deserve.

About
WE DO NOT HAVE A HARD-SIDED FACILITY.
Hawaii Dog Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation whose primary goal is to ensure that every dog in Hawaii is given the chance to live out its natural life in peace, safety, and contentment.
Hawaii Dog Foundation was incorporated in 2004 and is a rescue organization based on Oahu. It is run entirely by volunteers. HDF does not have a hard-sided facility as all of our dogs reside in individual foster homes! We can only help as many dogs as we have volunteers and donations, so your help is much needed and greatly appreciated!
Our plan is to continue taking in homeless dogs; to use our network of foster families to care for these dogs; and then to find permanent, loving homes for them.
We look forward to the day when there are no more homeless dogs in Hawaii!

About
The Hawaiian Humane Society is dedicated to promoting the human-animal bond and the humane treatment of all animals. We work towards creating a truly humane society based on compassion and shared responsibility. We envision a community in which every companion animal has a home – a community in which people highly regard and care for their own animals and all animals on O’ahu.
In 2019, the Board of Directors, and an all new leadership team lead by President & CEO Anna Neubauer, committed our organization to becoming a completely new organization. We are focused on being a true community-driven animal welfare organization that follows, and even leads, in employing and developing best practices for animal wellbeing. We know that so much of the work begins in the community and so are deeply committed to working with partner organizations, government agencies and concerned community members.
We are guided by the ideals of Socially Conscious Sheltering and are committed to seeking the best possible outcome for animals in our care and in the community we support

About
The Oahu Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was founded in April 2009, based on a no-kill philosophy, with the mission that “Every healthy treatable animal will find a forever home”. In our first three months we were thrown into a large-scale sheltering operation completing the largest rescue in Hawaii’s history.
With the help of generous supporters and the assistance of over 2,000 volunteers, the Oahu SPCA was able to save more than 1,400 animals within the first year. Our large volunteer force helps guarantee that most of the funds received go to the care and treatment of our rescued animals.
Our goal is to gather 200 sponsors to cover monthly expenses for every dog and cat in our shelter so please become a member of our rescue team. Together we can save the lives of thousands of animals each year and improve the lives of people each day.
We rescue animals suffering from abuse, neglect and abandonment all over the island each day. More than 15 dogs and cats are rescued, rehabilitated and re-homed each week. We care for approximately 45 dogs and 75 cats per day, including spay/neutering, micro chipping and medical & behavioral rehabilitation in preparation for adoption.

About
Aloha Animal Sanctuary is O’ahu’s First 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Sanctuary for Farmed Animals.
THE SANCTUARY was founded by a team of animal rights activists who recognized there was a need for a sanctuary for farmed animals on O’ahu. Many people have never had the chance to interact with animals like pigs, cows, chickens, or turkeys, although we slaughter and eat them by the billions annually. We want to help people form personal connections with these animals, and see them for the individuals that they are.
Located at the base of the lush Ko’olau Mountain Range in Kahalu’u, Kaneohe, Aloha Animal Sanctuary rests on 2 acres of land. Just a hop and a skip from the ocean, the property enjoys the sea breeze and ample rainfall which keeps temperatures mild and cool for the animals.
Only in operation since January 2019, we are working towards a sustainable expansion of our sanctuary.
There are so many animals that need help and although we cannot help them all, we hope we can influence our visitors to live compassionately towards animals.
