About
Old Dog Haven is a small nonprofit group using a large network of foster homes to provide a loving safe home for abandoned senior dogs in western Washington. When we have room and the means, we take these dogs into our homes. We adopt out those dogs with a reasonable life-expectancy. We care for the rest as members of the family in permanent foster homes (what we call “Final Refuge”) for as long as they have good quality of life. In addition, we try to assist owners in finding new homes for their senior dogs through our website and referrals.
Old Dog Haven is committed to the belief that all senior dogs should live peacefully in their final years as members of a caring family. To this end we:
Provide permanent foster homes for unadoptable, abandoned or soon to be homeless, senior dogs in western Washington, age eight and over. We give preference to the oldest dogs and those that have serious health issues.
Assist owners, shelters, and rescues in finding homes for their adoptable senior dogs age eight and over by posting those dogs on our website and our Facebook page;
Educate the public about the value of senior dogs in our lives and the unique gifts they bring us.
We intend to keep Old Dog Haven foster dogs as healthy and comfortable as possible by providing excellent medical care, but without heroic measures intended only to extend life. We are committed to helping these dogs find peace in their final years without judgment of the humans who have left them.
When quality of life is no longer present for any senior dog we believe that euthanasia is the ultimate gift we give them.

About
Ginger’s Pet Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization – one of the largest non-profit pet rescue organizations in Washington state specializing in saving Death Row Dogs.
Our mission is to give homeless animals with no hope the life they deserve through rescue, foster and adoption.
We do not have a physical shelter location. We rely on a large network of fosters in the Seattle area, who provide our dogs with love and care during transition from rescue to adoption. We are solely supportive on adoption fees and donations to help us provide for the 100+ dogs in our rescue at any given time. Over 90% of every dollar generated goes to the rescue of our animals.

About
Mission Statement:
To provide a safe, caring refuge for animals; To insure quality adoptive homes; To advocate for their welfare through compassion, education, creative solutions and a passion for the human-animal bond.
Vision Statement:
We serve as a model for animal sanctuaries worldwide. Today the relationship between humankind and animals is guided by compassion. Pet overpopulation and animal cruelty have been greatly reduced through animal welfare legislation, education of responsible pet ownership, rescue, adoption, non-euthanasia and mandatory spay/neuter policies.
Wags to Riches Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, serving Central Washington, was established in 2008 and is run solely by volunteers through the generous help of our supporters and their donations.
We are here for the welfare of homeless animals. Our priority is to facilitate the rescue and adoption of stray, abandoned, neglected, abused, and surrendered animals and to place them into permanent, loving homes. In the interim, we will provide appropriate foster and veterinary care, proper nourishment, and give them plenty of love and attention.
We will support and conduct education and informational activities to increase public awareness of pet overpopulation, increase concern and promote responsibility as well as promote spay and neuter thru education and other activities.
Wags to Riches Animal Rescue and Sanctuary has non-profit, 501(c) 3 status. All Wags people are volunteers –all money goes to the care, concern and feeding of the animals and not staff salaries. We will assist in all surrounding states and Canada. We will re-home animals to the surrounding areas as well.

About
We are a community resource center, providing adoption services, a pet food bank and support for pet owners, low-cost spay/neuter surgeries and wellness exams, humane education for all ages and more. Our work is made possible by the support of a generous community, and through our outreach, advocacy and services we strive to ensure that animal companionship is accessible to all.
Seattle Humane promotes the human-animal bond by saving and serving pets in need, regardless of age, ability, circumstance or geography.
Our Commitment:
We believe everyone deserves a chance to experience the love of a pet and the lifelong benefits of the human-animal bond. With this lens, we will continue to expand our programs and services to impact as many lives as possible.
Throughout history, the human-animal bond has played a pivotal role in creating our communities and culture. There is a direct link between human welfare and animal welfare—all life has value.
Systemic issues of inequality and inequity create the pipeline of pets that come to Seattle Humane in need of care and shelter. Animals often end up in shelters due to housing inequities, lack of access to quality veterinary care, and people having to make tough decisions like choosing between an overdue bill and a beloved pet. These societal issues are created and sustained without equal access to quality education, community resources, good job opportunities, and the ability to build generational wealth.
Understanding that it’s all connected, we are committed to doing our part to break this cycle and build a culture of equity and inclusion in our organization and in animal welfare.
Seattle Humane is, and always will be, a safe place for people from all backgrounds and experiences to unite around a common goal of helping pets in need. We believe in creating a community of support, showing empathy, understanding, respect, and kindness in our daily lives and in our work at the shelter. We are working to be a greater ally in this wonderful and diverse community we serve.

About
It was 1999 when Dr. Illina Berton began practicing veterinary medicine on East Main Avenue. Her passion for animals had been a constant throughout her life, and for the next ten years the staff of the animal hospital were frequently involved with rescue. But in 2009 Dr. Berton knew she wanted to do more. After seeing a dog named Spike online, she drove to Southern California. Spike was due to be euthanized for minor medical issues. She knew she could help. When she arrived to the shelter, her world was forever changed. Seeing the perfectly adoptable dogs being euthanized due to overcrowding, she decided to dedicate her life to saving them. Dr. Berton adopted Spike, who became nicknamed “Sunny Sky” as his gloomy days were far behind him, and soon there would be sunny skies for thousands of ill fated animals. It only seemed fitting to name our shelter after the dog who inspired what is now known as Sunny Sky’s Animal Rescue & Hospital.

About
Since 2003, Kitsap Animal Rescue & Education (KARE) has provided animal education and animal rescue support for the community. An estimated 500+ animals have been rescued since KARE’s start.
KARE partners with over-crowded shelters across the nation to bring adoptable pets to this area and is committed to finding loving homes for all of our rescues.
We do what we do because pets are our passion, and supporting our community is important to us.
Over the last decade, KARE has grown to include a dedicated team of 10+ board members, volunteers, trainers, and fosters, and there are more joining our cause each day. With your support, KARE can have a facility of their own to call “forever home” so we may continue to rescue at-risk animals and provide training and animal education for pet owners of Kitsap County.
