About
TLC-ND Animal Rescue is a local, animal rescue group dedicated to helping animals in need of a loving, permanent home through no fault of their own. LuAnn Hinderscheit has been the coordinator of this ongoing effort since September of 2010 with a background of over 10 years as a volunteer for various animal rescue groups in ND, SD, MN and Manitoba. She is committed to educating and networking with others who are moved to “action” regarding the issue of too many unwanted, neglected, lost, and abused pets in our communities. Since April of 2011 she has volunteered to assist local animal control agencies to place dogs whose time is up (three days by law) and place them either in a local foster home or to find them a reputable rescue or animal shelter that they can be transported to. Cats have been removed from the Pound since May 2012 whenever possible to reduce euthanizations. Most of her rescue work is done through word of mouth or through the various message boards and social media that LuAnn is a member of on the internet. TLC-ND Animal Rescue is a foster home based, animal rescue meaning there is no one building to house all animals like an animal shelter. In order to be successful, support from the community is essential so that more animals can be fostered and adopted locally resulting in fewer euthanizations and sad endings. Foster animals adopted are all spayed or neutered (unless there is a medical reason for not doing so — too young, etc.) and are up to date on their vaccinations.
Mission statement:
At TLC-ND Animal Rescue, we work to …
– Adopt animals with the goal of it being a “perfect match” for the animal and its new person/family.
– Guarantee that each dog or cat that comes into rescue will be provided with all basic needs along with veterinary/medical care and rehabilitation.
– Provide consistency and structure in a firm but loving manner to increase good manners (emphasize basic training) resulting in a more “balanced“ cat or dog/pet that people enjoy spending time with.
– Promote spay/neutering to prevent the volume of unwanted cats and dogs in our area.
– Provide animal welfare education to adopters and the community.
– Reunite lost or stolen animals with their owners.
– Serve as an animal advocate – speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves.
– Research and follow-through on seeing a humane animal shelter become a reality for Devils Lake, ND and the surrounding areas.
– Provide our community with a “Food Bank” for dogs and cats.
– Work with local breeders that are choosing to no longer breed for profit and are seeking placement of their animals in foster care through TLC-ND Animal Rescue working in conjunction with other reputable animal rescue groups.

About
Furry Friends Rockin’ Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue founded in 2015 by a group of Bismarck Animal Impound volunteers. We are a completely volunteer run organization. None of our volunteers are paid.
The rescue was founded to alleviate overcrowding and unnecessary euthanization within the impound. We have branched out to take in owner surrenders and other animals found in dangerous situations.
We rely on the support of the community to help us provide services to animals. We strive to match the animal with the right home.
We also seek to educate the community regarding the importance of providing proper veterinary care to animals and having all their pets spayed or neutered.
Our Goals:
– Provide a smooth transition for all involved in the adoption process
– Remove the animal from a hazardous situation
– Animal care — sterilize + vaccinate the animal
– Educating adopters, fosters, and the general public

We fund our good work through donations, memberships, fundraisers, events, and grant writing.
We encourage all pet owners and pet lovers to honor their own pets by giving back and donating to CDHS, as we continue doing great things for pets and people.

About
Oreo’s Animal Rescue is a nonprofit adoption guarantee organization committed to improving the lives of all animals. As an adoption guarantee organization, we embrace all animals and do not believe in the process of destroying them to control pet overpopulation. No animal in our control is ever euthanized unless they are suffering or considered dangerous. We believe that a strict spay and neuter policy is the only way to truly impact the number of unwanted animals in our community.
We are committed to protecting the quality of life and improving the well-being of abused, neglected and unwanted animals through prevention, education, intervention, placement and lifelong care.
We aim to better our community for both people and animals by subscribing to the following objectives:
– Rescue abandoned/abused pets
– Nurture, foster, socialize and find worthy homes for adoptable pets that are ready
– Adhere to a strict spay and neuter policy to prevent the overpopulation of companion animals
– Educate the public on the importance of responsible pet ownership and population control
– Offer guidance and resources to owners during periods of hardship

About
Animal Control Officers respond to calls of service about neglected or lost animals. We work to protect stray, injured, abused, and unwanted animals. We also help the public deal with problems caused by nuisance animals. We provide a variety of services that help animals as well as people: Rescuing injured animals, controlling stray and potentially dangerous animals roaming at large, and bringing lost pets to our local pound where owners can be reunited with their pets. We also work with other local agencies such as the local police department, ND Game and Fish, Social Services, and many others to protect all members of the family, both two legged and four.
